In May,
a frosty suitor
spurned,
to grace
the seasoned
cheek to turn,
from that frigid kiss
of fading pulchritude
trembling
'neath that icy breath,
and at best,
seeks tulips for cover
and daffodils to
make bold advances
to his sultry muse.
