  • Two Unite

    I worked hard
    The day is done
    I sit on the porch
    And watch the sun
    Dipping
    Dripping
    Into the Earth's embrace

    A little voice
    Asks if she can come
    We sit together
    And watch the sun
    Flitting
    Flowing
    Down to Earth

    A little hand
    Strokes my hair
    We sit here
    Without a care
    Watching
    Waiting
    For the night

    It's just us two
    As we watch the sky
    Her hand in mine
    As the sun goes by
    It's just us two
    Waiting for the night
    Just two it takes
    To simply
    Unite

Lovely, there is not much better than a father with his young daughter.

Or perhaps the bond between two sisters.

You are so right. It could be a mother or an older sibling.

      Beautiful sentiments poetically told, Sto_Pro_Veritate.
God gave us the sun, and God gave us the daughter.
      That is one heckuva gift!

God also gave us little sisters with the amazing gift of just being there for us! It certainly is a great gift.
