Insanity

Encircled by my inferno,
Softly burning from the inside out,
Like liquid fire in my veins
Turning my skin into ash.
My fingertips cold,
Contradicting Like icicles.

My teeth gnaw at my chapped lips,
Tasting like charcoal.
Crumbled black skin,
With boiled crimson blood.

Tears trapped behind my eyes,
Turing into steam.
Escaping the mayhem,
Being released.

Gasping for air,
Making me choke,
Coughing up charred remains.
Lungs swelling up with smoke.
Shrinking by the second,
It surrounds.

Fingernails dug deep.
Into my melting flesh,
Slipping through scorched bones.

If only, they let me be.
If only, they let me be alone,
Alone with my insanity.
