    The Sands, by Venus Connelly
    There’s nothing time hasn’t touched
    Everything gets old and changes
That’s why the things I have I’ve clutched
I think what’s most important, is exchanges
Remember what you have seen and heard
    Those you’ve known
    Things easily get blurred
    And turn to stone
Every breath take for its worth
    Every day is a gift
    On this earth
    For everything can shift
Your time may be up tomorrow
    Someone you love could disappear
    All with so much sorrow
It will all be a memory I fear
    Hold tight
    The sands of time
    Move overnight
Life can turn on a dime
