    POEM # 147

    REFLECTION
Some are good and some are bad,
Some are happy and some are sad.
A thought of when I was three,
A thought of my grandfather and me.
Happy memories of this little man,
Drinking beer out of a tin can.
Paying a nickel for a lump of coal,
Eating cereal, out of a brown bowl.
Hand in hand, walking down the street,
    No stranger, would grandfather meet.
Sad to say when I was five,
Grandfather was gone I was alive.
    Lucky my grandmother was here,
An amazing lady, I held so dear.
    Grandmother so elegant and kind,
No better person would you find.
I had her love through age eleven,
Until the day she left for Heaven.
    Grandmother Inge Marie was gone,
Let her hand still lead me on.
May I grow like these two,
    Always fair, honest and true.
    Reflections are all things,
    Just as angels have wings.
Some are good and some are bad,
Some are happy and some are sad.

Hey Carl are you any relation to the Mann's up in Jackson Center. I logged Old Rays woods twice, nice guy, he has to be dead by now though. But then I seem to know more dead people then live ones these days.
