  • ST. PATRICK'S DAY

    POEM # 346

    ST. PATRICK'S DAY
St. Patrick's bizarre green beer on order,
Little leprechauns sneak over the border.
    Shenanigans and festivities made plans,
By the O'Shaunestys and O'Toole clans.
In the sky dazzling colors of the rainbow,
Pointing directly at the Pot-o-Gold below.
Special corned beef and cabbage are served,
Chasing the treasure, stay calm not unnerved.
Irish jigs, and exuberant dancing in the streets,
Overflowing of green, the most erratic of treats.
Mugs never empty bottomless green beer poured,
Flying through the sky, tiny green leprechauns soured.
Time is drawing near, time about to run out
St. Patrick's day is over, as the leprechauns shout.
Fast as they came, faster little leprechauns went,
Irish fans everywhere, energy has been spent.

From McCartyville to St Patricks, what a parade. One town with twenty house the other with ten. Drinking green beer at Fishmoes in St Henry. Happy St Patty's day.
