    POEM # 345

    GLOBAL WARMING
Brightness shown through the shades of my room,
Filtering the cracks, subtracting the gloom.
Sun's fireball slowly rising in the east,
High overhead, spewing heat like a beast.
Will life on earth, succumb and go away,
As dryness and dust, multiplies this day.
Where is water for life and plants to live?
Rivers and lakes are dry, no water to give.
Water more precious than all silver and gold,
World power ranked by the water you hold!
Manta from Heaven, in the form of rain,
Pray Dear Father, take away world pain.
The Sun's heat retracts, setting in the west,
Overhead the proud Moon, throws out her chest.
Worlds hunger, explodes continues to rise,
What changes can be made, to stop our demise?
How many wells drilled deep in the ground?
Is there water beneath our earth to be found?
Glaciers and oceans shrinking at a record pace,
Planet changing, needing surgery for a new face.
The Sun's heat battles, to take our last breath,
Our universe won't die or surrender to death.
Global Warming can you feel or can you see?
Global Warming will you feel or will you see?
