POEM # 329
THE EARTH'S LAST DANDELION
Pine cones won't fall,
Their beauty does call.
Needles can be found,
Blanketing the ground.
Grass seeds spill and split,
Trying to grow not quit.
Earth covered by thirst,
Locked clouds won't burst.
Just dandelions grew,
Harsh winds petals flew.
In the trees sparrows don't fall,
Grass below bright trinkets call.
Owls superior eyes has found,
Pretty ribbons on the ground.
Girls treasure box, broke and split,
Searching won't give up or quit.
Rain quenches the flowers' thirst,
Sky opens as the clouds burst.
The earth's last dandelion grew,
As the sparrows and owls flew.
