They say we're all different on the outside
Black, Asian, Hispanic, or White
But we're the same on the inside
They say, but are they right?
For honestly most people look the same
A body, a head, some limbs
I honestly think that real differences
Come from what's within
For every person has a story
Some dull and mundane
Others filled with glory
Yet they say it's the inside that makes us the same
So why do they say this
When it's clear they aren't right?
Why diminish the lives people reminisce
And focus instead on appearance?
So in my humble opinion
The all powerful "they"
Is wrong once again
That's all I have to say
Black, Asian, Hispanic, or White
But we're the same on the inside
They say, but are they right?
For honestly most people look the same
A body, a head, some limbs
I honestly think that real differences
Come from what's within
For every person has a story
Some dull and mundane

When it's clear they aren't right?
