Earthmates
We all need them every day:
Space to move, to work, or play,
Food to eat and water clear,
Shelter, warmth, and safety near.
Each one shares the needs of all,
Whether we are large or small,
Every color hair or skin,
Every country we live in,
Walking on a foot or paw,
Whether we use thumb or claw.
Looking just like us, or not,
Others, too, always have sought
The same things that we all pursue,
Knowing what will get us through.
Whether we have flesh or feather,
We all share this Earth together!
