A DOG EXPLAINS
I like to stop to smell the yellow snow,
I do a sniffing dance with dogs I meet,
My nose brings pleasures you will never know,
I roll in poop. The fragrance is so sweet.
I sometimes lick myself, then lick your face.
I leave my mark on hydrants, posts and trees,
I go berserk when there's a squirrel to chase,
If these are faults, I beg forgiveness please.
For I have traits that far outweigh these flaws.
I give my owner endless, perfect love.
I live to brighten days and that's because
I've come here as a gift from God above.
If humans all spread love and joy like me,
Oh what a better place this world would be!
