I put on a pair of shoes,
Laced them twice, but got confused.
I looked around for someone who
Could have taken my pair of shoes.

These shoes weren't red.
They were not even thread.
How could someone have misread
And taken my pair of shoes?

I could not wear these.
Could not walk or talk or sneeze
In these were not my jogging ease
Where could be my pair of shoes?

I promised myself I wouldn't,
Again and again said i shouldn't,
Didn't think I even could but
I stepped in this pair of shoes.

How marvelous a feeling
From my toes up to the ceiling;
I couldn't believe i could be reeling
In another pair of shoes.

I knew the shoes weren't mine
But they had fit just fine
And now i know i should always try
Many different pairs of shoes.
