i feel it coming on

it will be spring in our hearts
for Humanity is warming

overcoming the harshness
and
darkness of
winter
is hate
is greed
is judgment

there is a spring coming
i know it
for i see it in you

and you

and soon enough it is We

and We are warming
and We will love
and We will share

and We will bask in the sun that is spilling over and through the clouds

there is a spring coming
and it is eternal

Humanity is warming
thawing
through compassion
through hope
through what is kind and what is good

in a stranger’s smile
in your footprints
