  • Million Pieces

    I looked down to you
My heart dropped and broke into a million pieces

You laid there looking at me with joyful eyes
I stood there holding my cries

    The room buzzed with cheers
Though the only thing I heard was the rushing flow of our tears

    You smiled through the pain
I cloaked my hands around yours like a chain

    Looking away from your gaze
Turning towards the door my head in a daze

    ~

    I looked down to you
My heart dropped and broke into a million pieces

You laid there with your eyes forever closed
I stood there my my agonizing cries exposed

The room was filled with an unpleasant silence
Though the only thing I heard was my heart beating as loud as sirens

    Your smile no longer shown
I cloaked my hands around my own

Looking at the uninhabited sight chilled me to the bones
Turning towards the door my head dropped like it was filled with stones

    First poem

Nice CJ. My advice, if you don't mind, is put more passion in it. Write down your feeling first. then make it into a poem. If this is your first one, you have a future in this genre.
