    POEM #14

    THE BEACH
    Sunning myself on the beach,
Thinking I don't have to teach.
Soaking up the sun's hot rays,
    Forgetting, cold winter days.
All over my body getting tan,
Along came a lifeguard named Dan.
    Tall and handsome was he,
    He was looking at me.
What to say, what to do?
My mind gave me no clue!
    Dan smiled and spoke,
    Just as my strap broke!
    Quickly off I ran,
    Saying goodby Dan!
