Belonging

In this place
Amongst strange spirits
For some reason
I feel the light
From within

I'd choose to run
And pretend I saw nothing
But despite the uneasiness
There exists something
That I can't hide

In this space
That I feel a part of
And each time I stay
I feel the darkness slowly fade
Until it's gone

Although I want to admit
That it didn't mean anything
But despite the barriers that may stand
In the way of living a life
There lies a sense of belonging
That I can't deny
