Whatever our circumstance - though I'll warrant some might pose greater challenge - time waits for none of us. This, too has a universal feel to it, even written into specific context. I think the best poetry can do that...take where/what the writer exists/intuits and make it so everyone reading it can relate. Keep writing!

I'm feeling left out,
I miss the road,
Little brother isn't little anymore,
He's all grown,
Damn, time moves fast in here,
No, it ain't slow,
I tried to get a bail,
But they wouldn't let me go... Home.
