I have a confession to make
In amidst the joy that I have with you
While we have fun until the day fades
At some point there'll be the awful truth
That's just waiting to surface
And throw me down onto my knees
I know you're unaware about all this
But there'll be a time where I start to bleed
You are my friend
And my confidant
But deep inside what you thought was human
There is something rotten inside
Do you want to know?
I can keep up the smiling as long as you want
But there's no point on pretending anymore
The countless silent images will begin their haunt
And in the next blinding moment, I'll be dead on the floor
You are my friend
And my confidant
But deep within what you thought was human
There is something rotten inside
Do you want to know?
You are my friend
And my confidant
But deep within what you thought was human
There is something rotten inside
And you have to know
If I hid these feelings for longer, what good will that do?
I can't always put on a mask and wear it just for your sake
It's time that I admit one thing, and don't bottle the truth
Dark thoughts of depression and suicide, I'm sure you can relate

Another thing relating to Mental Health Awareness Month...
And yes, it is an honest fact that it is really hard for one to tell someone they know and trust about their mental health, especially if a man does it (as they are stigmatised for it, and usually avoid taking about their personal struggles for that reason).
