swan-song, heavy swelled,
hidden deep within my folds
tucked; plucked; roasted whole

Thanks for inspiring a haiku attempt this morning! It feels like I've been away from poetry for a long time.

Thanks for the read and write RLW. Victor reminded me of the form with has lively response to Hokkaido. There were a lot of Haiku practioners on Rhymezone once on a day.

I remember trying my hand at it a fair bit...never seemed my best form. I could get the syllable count, but the turn on the third line always challenged me. Still, happy to be back at it, if even for a brief foray.
