Nice capture again, AtL, of heavy emotions. You tackle this subject matter so well...yet write about deep love and happiness in turn. Erato must perch permanently on your shoulder!

These are very powerful and emotional lyrics. It seems like the narrator had a dream of a life with someone they loved deeply, but that dream was shattered by the harsh reality that the other person did not reciprocate those feelings. The line "Loving you cost dearly my self-esteem" is particularly poignant, as it speaks to the toll that unrequited love can take on a person's sense of self-worth. Overall, these lyrics convey a sense of loss and heartbreak that is both relatable and deeply felt.

Death of a dream
Death of a dream
Your affections were bestowed like bread crumbs
My sole dream, I miss what we might have been
I’d fall asleep each night changing the outcome
I saw you and our children so serene
My heart kept lying and I would pretend
Visions so clear that you loved me deeply
We were lovers and friends down to the end
Even death and the grave couldn’t stop me
I was awakened by reality
Loving you cost dearly my self-esteem
But you didn’t have the capacity
To love nor prevent the death of a dream
