We are the minority
We are the prisoners of democracy
As they live their lives
We live deep underground
In misery

How does it feel
Just for who we are
Dregs of flesh
Not people

How does it feel
To be ignored
Forgotten
And hated

For far too long now
And for how much longer
We are the forgotten souls of a generation
We are the oppressed, greyed out and silenced
For as long as the leaders
Laugh at us from the very top
As we dwell in filth and darkness
We are the forgotten souls of a generation
We are the oppressed, forever silenced

No rights, no freedom
No love, only evil
This is not a democracy
This is not a democracy

If we must, we'll raise hell
Rise from the depths, our voices heard
Our resistance is now
Our resistance will be the end

Learning about women's rights and how women were really "oppressed" in history in my college course inspired me to write this.
