To leave the stage - world or otherwise - gracefully, doesn't appear to be the modus operandi of so many folks. Damages left in the wake are shameful.

Shrunken from a loss of power
In becoming a paper tiger
Whose only power
Was the eye-roll
And the roar,
Retaining contol

By a triumph of the will,
He fed on a fear of fire,
recalled the World that was,
Full of mastery, full of bluster
And spiked it on the steel of war.
