i pray 2023 will be
a boring year in history
no war, disaster, plague, or quake
no storms that make the rafters shake
a boring year, the only yells
are celebrating wedding bells
the only cries heard on the earth
are those of babies given birth
the only moans the only sighs
are lovers lost in paradise
the climate that the year is forming
stills the march of global warming
fields will ripen full of wheat
and all will have enough to eat
men opting just to have more fun
will play with balls and not a gun
no heavy hearts in tears are burned
and every love will be returned
i hope 2023 will hear
my prayer for happiness this year
