Certain nights
It's necessary to talk with winter
The point when cold and silence
Like the future
Seem bottomless
Though outlawed thoughts
Know it isn't
Those thoughts need warmth
and friends
When you can talk and talk and talk in honesty.
Until dawn returns illicit
with prefabricated days
and words like little theives.
