    River

    A river,
    Subterranean,
    Legendary Lethe,
    Sunk in forgetfulness,
    Cannot be bathed in twice.
    Day and daily, heedless
    Of Hallmark's Calendar,
    Love Declares itself,
    But remains a mystery,

No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man. - Heraclitus

Concur with other commenters and am also curious of the comma at the close...or is there more to come?

              No RLW. Mysteries must
              Remain mysterious.
              The hanging comma
              An oversight.
              A shuffled line result,
              I guess...
Although... I fondly remember posting an Autumnal Equinox verse that ended with a rhetorical question to which you added some well wintered stanzas, so if you can see a way out of this cul-de-sac I'd be happy for you to do the same again.

Johntee Could you possibly include a link to that previous piece...I've had a spin through your postings (my, my, there are 31 pages here!) and I can't seem to find it.

Then, perhaps, I'll give it a go!
