Pocket size triggers of playful drama
Suffer wear in the palms without safety
Big smiles light up small faces
Until joy transformed by vintage
Adult collectors pursue the pristine
Prizing the un-prised, unused, unopened
Rare Models of yesteryear scaled in splendour
Fires of coveted desire lit by the matchbox
Small box strikes it big

I've often marveled that things 'unused', kept pristine in packaging, are so highly valued years later. I realize it's because of rarity...

That seems a direct contradiction to the idea of spending oneself, preferably in the service of others, so that love, the most priceless of things, shows its worth in wear...like the Velveteen rabbit.
