    I can't deny
    That this life
    Is drab and meaningless

    Always the chaos
    And cruel darkness
But it's not always like this

    My eyes were shut
    And away from others
    I preferred my own space

    Now there's a light
    Bright and unexpected
But life still has its shades of grey

    Monochromatic visions
    Everything seems so hollow, dark
But there's a line that divides
    Between two states of emotion
Always look on the brighter side of life
But I still feel the thorns in my heart

    Though there exists colour
    For once in my life
    I still view beauty
    Through broken glass
I still dwell in the past

Ah...so this came before "Lines of Reality" then? Interesting how you progressed from one concept to the other.

      After, actually.

And that two have different backgrounds to them also (as this one is just based on not always viewing life in black and white).
