Today I was very angry at you
For leaving me, us, for going away
I wanted to say many things to you
And I desperately prayed that you would stay

I didn’t get to hug you one last time
Nor hold your hand to let you know I cared
How could you go and leave me here behind?
How will I to talk to you when I am scared?

When I was young , I was your little girl
Everyone always said I looked just like you
I loved you daddy even after we quarreled
On your deathbed you asked if there was anything
    you could do

If I needed your help, If I was okay
But All I wanted was for you to live
I wasn’t ready to let you go today
So now I pray in pain, cry out and grieve

I wanted a little more time with you
To kiss you on the cheek, look in your eyes
And reminisce and cry like we used to do
When we talked about your mother’s demise

I remember those days like yesterday
You were very strict and protective too
We laughed and cried then I went out to play
And now I sit alone, reminisce and review

Oh sweet AtL...I am holding you in prayer this night and going forward. Life is hard...but life is good, all the same.
