  • Sky on Fire (sunset)

    We swoon to the west
to watch the sky (an ardent reader)
    protest the coming darkness.

    Before cameras
    Only poets could catch
    The romantic extravaganza of color

    The old hunters
    know the important thing
is not how you catch them
but what you let the colors do to you heart.

I would argue that poets still have the power to capture color in way photos cannot. We can capture the emotion felt.

    Thank you for this one!

I believe photography and poems never as good without working together hand in hand as hobbies I take photos and write a lot more than I show and none of them are as good apart as the right ones are together

I love the way you've captured what is lived experience for me. So often the beauty leaves me in a state of welcome wonder.
