Insomnia
Keeps me fatigued
Heavy eyes
But lacking sleep

Welcoming the darkness
That creeps around
Hoping for the dreams
I have not found

Tossing and turning
Try to close my eyes
But the 8-hour refreshment
My body shall despise

Imagining voices
Inside my head
Supposedly going crazy
Just as they had said

Watching illuminated numbers
Tick on by
I lay back down;
Let out yet another sigh
