  • Over The Hills And Faraway

At long last now we heed the call
Of ones who've held us long in thrall.
Our souls bid us "Go forth today
    Over the hills and faraway."

O'er the hills and o'er the main
As far and wide as we can gain.
Our souls command and we obey
    Over the hills and faraway.

Across the plains far off from home
Through woodlands green and wild, we'll roam
Along new trails to come what may
    Over the hills and faraway.

O'er the hills and o'er the main
Beneath the sun, through wind and rain.
Our souls command and we obey
    Over the hills and faraway.

We'll wander free from East to West
From morn to eve and take our rest
Whene'er the sun calls it a day
    Over the hills and faraway.

O'er the hills and o'er the main
Through fields of joy and walls of pain.
Our souls command and we obey
    Over the hills and faraway.

When we should fall to rise no more
    As many wanderers did before
We hope our souls will stray and stay
    Over the hills and faraway.

O'er the hills and o'er the main
With no constraints and with free rein
Our souls command and we obey
    Over the hills and faraway.

RhymeZone Forums was extremely important to me. When I joined the site – in April 2016 – I was truly humbled that so much talent would accept a Simple Rhymer. However, a few months ago I decided to pull away due to – what I felt – was an abundance of SPAM postings and comments.

Recently, I was asked to become a Moderator to assist the other Moderators – and Administrators - in combating these SPAM postings and comments. It was my honor to enthusiastically accept.

I pledge to take the time to review the site daily (multiple times) and take appropriate action when necessary. I thank you for your contributions, and if you are considering withdrawing your talents – or have already done so – I sincerely hope you will reconsider.

My email address is [email protected] if you have any concerns regarding material posted to RhymeZone Forums.
