(A Shakespearian Sonnet that I wrote for my English Class)
DANCING
DANCING
Her feet they drag along the floor in time
She jumps and twirls and spins the earth around
The music in her heart mountains to climb
A magic song she sings her purpose found
Her dress a curtain falling from the sky
It folds around her faded ballet shoe
She leaps up like a bird that wants to fly
But all things that go up must come down too
Her legs collapse beneath her graceful feet
A scream that shatters unbreakable glass
She feels her heart get louder every beat
The view goes dark and running footsteps pass
The story of a dancer on a stage
The story of a swan stuck in a cage
