  • Sir Loin's Beef

    Redemptions tawdry promise
    Lies tattered on the floor
As Sir Loins beef with the world
    Carves rare opportunities

    Hopes herd is rustled
    And the future corralled
    As heat of trail blazers
    Milks the bovine present

    A cowboy president
Caught in a stampede for greed
    Wrangles his false rodeo
    Driving the world to disaster

Usually, political stuff in poetry gets to me, in a bad way. But this was nice. I liked the flippant tone, and the reality of it. Second stanza was my fav. Thanks for sharing, friend. Good to see ya/read you again!

    In Tweets that
    masquerade
    as Deeds,
    over the war torn
    world he strides,
    and tilts the lands
    where war abides
    Leviathan,
    Beast Master
    of the Tides
