    REFLECTION [DEAD OF WINTER]

    Falling snow brings noise
There is no sight of a silent night
Memories mild, a blend of madness
    Calm and calamity, binding
    Past perfumes of love’s crying
    Only one left smiling
The shape of people moving, carries sound
    My nakedness is loud
    Have I touched you?
    The way you’ve touched me?
    Cyber touched, poetry
    Have we or can we
    Absorb every word, equally?
Or are we selfish in reflection?
Untrusting as every faith can be
    Painted truth is candy hard
    Sucked on until dissolved
Eyes also like that of a vacant city
    Unattended fields, slow adventure
    A sweet retard
    Save the church bells
Who can stop them from ringing?
And the black train on track
    It’s coming is no comfort
    Whatever reasons it’s bringing
Take a sliver of foolish flesh
A slice of brushed backed hair
    Give the eye a splinter
    Our mirrors don’t lie
Neither does the reality of time
    FORWARD AND FOREVER
    In the dead of winter

Cool, very cool actually! This flowed well, had a certain tone to it, a reverberation... I think it's the attractive gnomic phrasings which appeal most to me, the disjointed narratization. You set the mood!

      The splintered eye
      that cannot but see
      an ice bound heart
      beat imperfectly
