    I’m on my way.

    Say today, or do instead,

    the things you’ll wish

    you’d done when

    I am dead.

    A kinder word, a visit

    fair, some chore off-lifted

    shoulders, toiled in caring

    for another.

    Plant seeds of kinder memories.

    When I have reached

    that leg of journey

    where no flesh can

    follow, never spend

    a hollow tear.

    Fear nothing,

    but in kindness

    pray my soul

    to heaven.

    Fill, as leaven,

    every hopeful

    coffer of becoming

    all God ever willed

    for you to be.

    Remember, then, and

    see that here and now

    you acted thus of love.

    Remember and be

    joy-filled you took hold

    of moment given.

    Sorrow, shriven,

    here among each

    daily choosing,

    as we ever

    make our way

    back home.

The sky does awesome things around here some mornings! Many thanks, my poet friend.

    What being,
    unaware of glory,
    can see in the heavens
    more than sky

Not only sky...but all & truth awaiting discovery by each new eye.

Guess I'll start my day fighting off envy and covetousness, proving myself to be a selfish, sinful bundle of vanity and pride - because this is one of those works that make me think, "Darn it, I wish I had written this."

Okay, I'm over it. I'll do what I will wish I would have done. I'll feel grateful that someone has produced something beautiful to share with us and see if I can't pass it on to someone else. Then sometime soon I'll sit down and play around with some words for a while until I come up with my own take on it all.

Thanks, R-dub. Thanks for writing and sharing. Well done.

High praise, kind sir - much appreciated. Sometimes the death of a loved one...or more than one loved one...helps focus.

Your plan sounds like a winner to me. Keep writing. I look forward to the reading the results.
