Thankful for - feels like grace
    the food, the pleasures,
the silent disregard for -thankful to?
agrivated by the slight hollow feeling
    we respectfully fill
    with our provincial histories
    so little
    against the incessant oversight
    of the moon
    her sad happiness
    rising and setting beyond us
    so silent
    almost as beautiful
    as our old tender traditions.

This is wondrously beautiful...and woefully melancholy. I don't ever want to forget the WHO that makes the WHAT come to life. Thank you for a tactful reminder in gentlest terms. Wish I could give more likes.

Interesting take to tie the traditions to the moon and then the hollow feeling like something is missing. I like it

You know thanksgiving as a shared tradition is usually associated with the harvest. The farmer is happy to get a return a his seeds. Here in amerika it is a patriotic myth a turkey/ football day. But remember that it is a different tradition outside |America
