  • Mountain Top Coldness

    Standing on a mountain top,

Could see the entire valley below,

But could not hear sad tears drop,

No feeling for their life’s ebb and flow.

    Viewing from a mountain top,

Could see the little village below,

But could not hear a dream pop,

From chronic abuse that brought the woe.

    Building on a mountain top,

Could see the weather worn roofs below,

But could not hear heartbeats stop,

When death struck with its acidic throe.

    Dwelling on a mountain top,

    Shelter from awful events below,

    Thinking about self-nonstop,

Might change if into the vale you go.

    Thriving on a mountain top,

Coldness toward need can numb within,

    A soul can meaningless rot,

A right and fruitful life never gain.

Even Jesus came down from that mountain - and freely accepted the cross. The seemingly "safe" space can be the most dangerous of all. Nice capture tigerman .
