  • Impeccable Liar

Churchman stood bearing witness of marital fidelity,
    Honorable, respected, by the brotherhood,
Asked his loving wife to stand in show of solidarity,
Congregation choked in disbelief when three women stood.

    O, you impeccable liar,
    Null and void of honesty,
Full of evil and dark desire,
    And malignant depravity.

Presiding judge on the bench for twenty years plus another nine,
Man in court who was under-the-table comrade,
Indicted for shooting well-insured wife in the head three times,
Judge threw the case out on basis that facts proved suicide.

    O, you impeccable liar,
    Null and void of honesty,
Full of evil and dark desire,
    And malignant depravity.

Banker had the reputation of being a righteous man,
Would be first one at the bank and last to go home,
People trusted him with their checking, retirement and savings plans,
Emptied the bank's big steel vault and left town to parts unknown.

    O, you impeccable liar,
    Null and void of honesty,
Full of evil and dark desire,
    And malignant depravity.

Highly esteemed and respected minister in the city,
Everyone declared he stood on holy ground,
But disturbing news got out and what a pity,
Was caught gambling with congregation’s mission funds and left town.

    O, you impeccable liar,
    Null and void of honesty,
Full of evil and dark desire,
    And malignant depravity.

    Popular and successful business entrepreneur,
Threw his hat in the ring and ran for high office,
Promising voters that he would be honest and morally pure,
Soon the people learned he had been bribed, not once but twice.

    O, you impeccable liar,
    Null and void of honesty,
Full of evil and dark desire,
    And malignant depravity.
