  • Orangutan

    Breathe

    Wilderness,

    sprung joist,

    be-ribbed lung,

    floor to upper air,

    take back the girth

    lost, the board feet
    timber miles sawn

    at cost of home

    no more lonely

    than the last

    one simian,

    an Adam

    wronged

    by time

The only place I've ever seen an orangutan was in the local zoo. This reminds of me of the feelings I got there.

I had trouble getting this on and then found
the line spacing erratic and tried to correct it
but this was baulked by its consideration
as spam., and it still seems
      not to want to respond

Well, I saw it and approved it (line spacing not withstanding, but I could try to correct that for you if you'd like - not saying I definitely could, but I can try if you'd like). Otherwise, it seems to be showing up. I don't understand the spam filters on the site. Lots of spam gets through and occasionally poems do not.
