  • Older then rain, you must be rock

    Drink deep

    Spring rains will not last

    That shapes the earth

    And scours paths

    Sing mountain

    With gurgle and rush

    Trapped within a forest glen

    Your creek that winds

    Leads back within

To question both just where and when

    As meadows wait

    Won’t hesitate

    Leafy veins, hitch a ride

    Come along down mountain side

    At journeys end to reside

    And sink in valley pool

    Drink deep old friend

    While I stay

    Sharp the tongue

    That tames the peak

    Pitter patter, pitter patter

    Softly speaks

    And takes the edge off

    Stern relief’s

    Drink mountain

This brought with it a variety of ways of looking at it// sensations... familiarity! "Deep," you know? What I most was affected by was the bit of solemnness towards the end, makes me feel like greeting you an old friend, with the recognition of the impermanence. A lungful of pathos Thanks for sharing with us.
