ORA OF A WORD (ODE TO AMEN ORA)

The paddle of phrase in bathtub water
A slight breath on porcelain cheek
    Calm of a champion inside
But loss is a teaching hammer
Expressions and codes in the prison of poems
    Seldom hidden, always felt
    Delicate manipulation of nerve
    Tyrannical beauty of release
You have been there every second of my time
    Your rapture, intense
I pray you never go away

Lovely sentiments, thanks for the shout out. If I have a critique, it would be that you weren't more down to earth. It's a little abstract, and I think it could be 'heavier' in terms of emotional value. I appreciate it!

O and I thought I'd share this Quote from Austin Osman Spare in his Logomachy of Zos: "Insight expresses things by symbols and is a pure manner of relating— seeing: the way of some things can be known only by silent graphs— interlocking forms pregnant with meaning."
It is one I've been pondering lately, and your poem brought it up as well, again. Be well.
