    Photographer and Poetry Collaborations
Maxi Mums’ awesome photo of the Red Robin hopefully has us all thinking of......

    Early Spring

Bluebirds chirping for an early spring
melodies strung with prayers on wings
Black bears awaken from long winter’s nap
the woodchuck’s shadowed by gray cloud trap

While the sun sets later day by day
thoughts of winter have gone astray
A stroll along the river, a hike in the hills
take it all in as the waterfall spills

The warmth of the sun a welcome embrace
the last snowfall leaves barely a trace
Buds are popping on silver maple trees
nature comes alive, no longer winter freeze

Although the calendar says thirty more days
I see the welcome signs early spring displays
The red breast robin on my front lawn
hope spring’s eternal with new day dawn
    (C) Poem Boe Burke March 2019

Lovely to contemplate Bobby! Thanks for the inspiration on this rainy day which is slowly melting away the remaining mounds of snow.

Bobby - I most enjoyed your poetic composition of vibrant spring visuals, rhymes and rhythms. Just the motivation for those of us on the edge of a winter's departure. It was like a tasty salad which promises that food is on its way. Hallelujah! You know! All of a sudden I'm feeling a "lot" better. Namyh
P.S. - Add one more "lot" above and thanks Dr. Bobby for dessert too. LOL

Namyh, maybe we’re both full after feasting on each other’s words. Thanks, now let’s leave room for dessert.

Missed it by a day - but since spring has officially landed itself on the calendar - back to the top of the queue Bobby!
