    Two Down & Counting

    calendar-3045826_640.jpg

    Corner turned? I wonder now

    if we’re nearer spring somehow?

    February waved good-bye

with a twinkle in its eye.

Sunny day with naught to fret

    ’til tomorrow’s storm is met.

    Marching on in lock-step time

    toward a fairer season clime.

    Lamb-like entry may portend

    lumps ahead to lion’s end.

Thanks Bobby. I don't believe I've ever had just a gravy sandwich (without some kind of meat included anyway). Those have lumps.

We've had above average snowfall where I'm living - with another winter storm predicted tonight (this time only between 4-6 inches of the fluffy white stuff). I, too, am ready for the greening of the land.

Loved the flow Paula and took me forward to the rebirth of spring.

Thanks Alex. I'm trying to keep my eyes there too - after another 4-5" of winter whiteness overnight.

How I shiver to read your words
here half an inch is turning slush
the feet you face would find me stirred
not such to ape your shovelled ode
like you I want the weather lush.

My mantra each morning these days is "Another day closer to spring, another day closer to spring...."
