DREAMS OF CALM
A body of water, calm
A fallen tree within
Three Sparrows enter the stillness
Three eagles emerge
They perch in the fallen tree
When the water is calm
Why does a spirit break?
And a dream will die
Why do humans seek pride?
Cage the little bird of sweet song
Ruin love
So many heads lost in the flight of unconsciousness
But the stillness will always find those that prey
And the bounty of replication will quell the whore’s throat
The jettisoned will eventually find a shore or some earth
Can the broken pray dreams of calm?
