“Up to our eyelashes in wishes”

Does this equate to having a gut feeling

Wow, so lovely thank you. I was completely captivated by the last stanza, and the beginning just built up to that - a delight. Peace and Kudos Friend!

You have such a way of making these observations romantic and beautiful - like a state of dream.

started a topic Things That Get Lost

    Things That Get Lost

    Tonight's sky
    narrated and chandaliered by
    that white kraft paper circle
    and the carte blanche sadness
    that unchurches

    the collection of tiny wishes
    and their uncontainable joy
    the fresh glass of champagne
    the iambic moonbeat
    background jazz for water dancing

    the stars that see us
    upto our eyelashes in wishes
    and hear us
    upto our throats in toasts
    watch over our vigour
    and blurry halos
