A Tale Of Winter Car Trouble!!!! LOL!!!

STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD

I hear the Howling Wind
The Winter's calling
My car won't start
because the engine's stalling!

I can't call anyone!
My phone is dead!
The battery indicator
is flashing red!

I can not think!
My head is froze!
I should have worn
much warmer clothes!

And to add to all
my many woes
I can't even
feel my toes!

My hands are cold!
My fingers hurt!
And all I have on
is a thin T-Shirt!

It's so cold out here
I can see my breath
And I sure hope
I don't freeze to death!

I have no hat ---- or scarf
Or a single glove!
I should've said 'Goodbye'
to the folks I love!

When I left home
the weather was calm --- and cool
Now I'm out here freezing
like a great big fool!!!!

Stuck on the side of the road
because my engine is stalling
And to make matters worse
The snow is falling!!!

RB, RB, RB - You have captured with poetic magnificence a dilemma actually confronted several times in the military while stationed in Germany with snow, unlit back roads and stars for light. You learn to adapt and anticipate because back then, there were no cell phones, no calvary or ruby red slippers to take you home. Those days! Whoa! Enjoyed your work RB. felt the desperation of help all way through your poetry and seeing the helplessness to get out of situation. some times you can not doing anything and have to sit it out and ride the storm pun intended out. enjoyable read and maybe good to raise awareness of going out this time of year to be prepared.
