  • All The Moons

    and other invertebrate fires
    upon reflection and glowing
to do what she does with light
    free ourselves of some solitude
    expell a little sadness
soothe the order of things with salt
    common expressions
    soup's cold
    love sees the sky
    full and expanded
    emerge all of the moons
giving pieces of dreams and kindness
    what she does with light
    transmits breath to moths
wings fresh cut from the garden
    where nothing can't disappear
    tended to in gold
    kisses unrecycled
    and other fires

It's always interesting to see the different "voice" in poetry. This is familiar yet not, to me... I like the style you've managed here. It has a sort of mundanity, or blasé feeling to it. The rhythm was off-beat, but there, you know, leading me to cloud these patterns in my mind, and I can relish them...
It basically reminds me of how I have spoken about my writing. If we can have good poetry, like candy, without rotten teeth or tummies, I would say, let's continue this writing exploration.
It has a sort of "infantine" feel to it. I feel that frames the poet in such a light that ... well it's beautiful. And I'm being ramble-y. Thanks for sharing. It also reminds me of a dream I had where eclipsed moons stood (like 5 of them arrayed) in the sky, moving image. Peace + Kudos.

This is a bit different from you, lunar glide; reins hang a little looser. Of course, the work is as wonderfully engaging as ever.
        So much to relish here:
        invertebrate fires
        free ourselves of some solitude
soothe the order of things with salt
wings fresh cut from the garden
        (gasp! my favourite)
        tended to in gold

Damn, I'm just quoting the whole thing. <3
