gold third finger’d wedding band.

An age of independent mind

he stumps along unfound.

Souls of discretion,

Mother and Son

i can almost hear the words after: "Behold, this is what you are." Seems to fit. And then I read it a few more times, and see how deep it is; the child behind, unfound. Or like a warning of what might happen.

AmenoOra, This was, as can be seen from its date and poemzone's comment, deep in the pages of the past year but what I took to be a Chinese site selling wedding photography hooked it recently, presumably because of the wedding band line. Their comment is no longer there. I was sitting in a supermarket cafe with the lines from the checkouts trailing in front of my eyes when this little tableau played out in front of me.
