    Nostalgia

    Time refines the past,

    memory rewrites the scene

    to one of sweet loss.

    Cool, Johntee--
Reminds me of the glass starting to warp from antique old houses there for so long that happens. I have actually never seen it, but seems to fit, in a nostalgic-poetical way.

I have read that glass is a super-cooled liquid
that isn't actually "set" and over time gravity thins
a pane at the top and thickens it at the bottom through "creep."
Old pre-industrial glass was blown, first as a globe. then swung in a pit
to create a sausage cylinder then, with ends cut off, cut along its length and
allowed to flatten out resulting in ripples on the side being compressed. This can be
      seen in old buildings.

Thanks RLW Your "wide open spaces move"
      hasn't cramped your writing hand
      but has left me
      envious
