Self-delusion


Self-protective in its' tact

the self-image must reflect

on the brutal mirrored fact

and forswear the cheval-glass;

shun plate windows as they pass,

the dummies struck in frozen dance

given not a second glance

as reality, perforce,

is bent to fit the act.
